Also there is Variations in horses lifespan depends on their breeds, some of them lives longer or less than other.

25 to 33 years old is the average lifespan of domestic horses according to “The Ontario Ministry of Agriculture”. But many horses can exceed this average, some horses and ponies may reach the 40 years old age and more. Smaller horses like Arabians breeds are generally long-lived than the draft breeds. that doesn’t mean you can’t find a really elder draft horse, because as we’ve mentioned previously, with a good care and natural food, it may make an exception and any horse can live more than its lifespan.

The common thing between the owners whom have horses that lived a long life, is that with a good care, natural and high quality food, hoofs care, love, the horses continue to live a long and healthy life. Even that some horses become old and reached their retirement, they still useful, active and joyful.
